Whenever we need to build something around here, our first thought is usually "recycled pallets!" (For ref: see some of our store shelves)
And we're not the first to think "pallets!" when it comes to gardening. Pallet gardens are really trendy and useful. They're rustic, compact, hangable, leanable, and moveable. You can use them for herbs, flowers, leafy greens, succulents.... anything that'll fit.
From 6:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 5 at GreenTree Garden Supply you can find out how pallet gardening works and leave with the materials you’ll need to make your own at home. We'll show you how, with just a few supplies, you can create an attractive garden that requires very little space and maintenance. With the right soil and irrigation your pallet garden can provide you with fresh greens, herbs or flowers for the entire growing season. You'll leave with the know-how, supplies and inspiration to add a little more green to your life.
Take home the pallet garden kit for $10, which includes the pallet and covering. Soil may be purchased separately. Pallets are approximately 4'x3'. Make sure you can transport your supplies home! If you'd like to make something smaller, get in touch. We can cut them down to smaller sizes. Let us know you’re coming so we have enough supplies. Please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org to register for this workshop.
