Jim Cosgrave will be representing GreenTree's Soils and Biochar division at the 33rd Annual Organic Farming and Gardening Conference put on by the Northeast Organic Farming Association of New York in Saratoga Springs. The conference will be held at the Saratoga Hilton and City Center Friday, January 23 through Sunday January 25.

This year's theme is "Soil: The Root of the Matter" so, of course, we feel right at home. The keynote speaker Friday is Dr. Wes Jackson, president of the Land Institute, and Saturday's keynote speakers are Farmers of The Year, Klass and Mary Howell-Martens of Lakeview Organic Grain. The NOFA Conference is such a great weekend, jam-packed with interesting how-to workshops on topics such as Organic Hop Growing, Raising Grass-Fed Beef, Growing a Dye Garden, along with business-growing classes such as learning how to market to institutions, applying for loans and grants, and planning your production. There is definitely something for everyone from the working farmer to the aspiring organic gardener. Online registration is closed but you can still register at the door. Please see NOFA-NY's website for details at http://www.nofany.org/events/winter-conference. Stop by our booth and say hello!
